How we work with you

As a mutual fund distributor, we help you choose from schemes offered by SEBI-registered fund houses, complete your KYC, place transactions and keep track of your portfolio. The final investment decision is always yours.

  1. Understand your goals. We start with your time horizon, income, existing investments and how comfortable you are with ups and downs.
  2. Shortlist suitable categories. We walk you through equity, debt, hybrid and index fund options, including each scheme's risk-o-meter, expense ratio and exit load.
  3. Set up your account. KYC and transactions run online through the FundzBazar platform, so SIPs, switches and redemptions happen from your phone.
  4. Review regularly. We look at your portfolio at least once a year and whenever your goals or circumstances change.

Equity, debt and hybrid funds

Equity funds invest mainly in shares. They carry the most short-term volatility and are generally suited to goals five or more years away. Debt funds invest in bonds and money-market instruments. They are steadier but not risk-free, and are often used for short-term goals and emergency reserves. Hybrid funds hold both, and the mix differs a lot from one hybrid category to the next.

SIP, STP and SWP in plain words

A SIP invests a fixed amount every month, so you buy more units when prices are low and fewer when they are high. An STP parks a lump sum in a low-risk fund and moves it into equity in instalments. An SWP does the reverse of a SIP: it pays you a fixed amount every month from your corpus, which many retirees use as a pension.

How distributors are paid

Distributors offer regular plans. The fund house pays us a trail commission that is built into the scheme's total expense ratio (TER). Direct plans of the same scheme have a lower TER because there is no distributor commission, and you manage them yourself. Your Consolidated Account Statement (CAS) shows the commission paid for each scheme you hold.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum amount to start a SIP?

It depends on the scheme. Many schemes accept SIPs from ₹100 to ₹500 a month, and some set a higher minimum. We confirm the minimum for every scheme you shortlist before you invest.

Can I stop or pause my SIP?

Yes. You can pause or cancel a SIP at any time and the fund house charges no penalty for doing so. Units you already hold stay invested. An exit load applies only if you redeem units within the scheme's exit-load period, and ELSS units stay locked in for three years from each instalment.

What documents do I need to invest?

You need your PAN, Aadhaar for address and eKYC, a bank account in your name, and a mobile number and email address. KYC is done once and is valid across all mutual fund houses.

What is the difference between direct and regular plans?

Both plans invest in exactly the same portfolio. Regular plans, which distributors offer, include a commission paid by the fund house, so their expense ratio is higher. Direct plans carry no distributor commission, and you choose and manage the investments yourself.

How are mutual fund gains taxed?

For FY 2026-27, gains on equity funds held for less than a year are taxed at 20%. Gains on equity funds held longer are taxed at 12.5% on the amount above ₹1.25 lakh a year. Debt fund gains are taxed at your income-tax slab rate. Tax rules change often, so confirm your situation with a tax professional.
